Dr. Vargas is currently a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University working with Dr. Timothy Verstynen as part of the Cognitive Axon Lab (CoAx) and D3 Lab with Dr. Kevin Jarbo. Roberto received their PhD in 2022 in Cognitive Neuroscience and currently serves at the Principle Investigator of the recently formed lab, the Experience, Conceptual-Association, Language, Brain and Behavioral Representation (ExCaLBBR) Lab.
Current Research:
Broadly, Roberto utilizes quantitative and qualitative methodologies to study how the complex dynamics of the social world causally influence how people represent and associate information, and how those representations influence subsequent experiences.
