Junky for statistics, experimental methods, and machine learning techniques. I find intrinsic enjoyment from understanding nuance and generating intuitions from complex, noisy, human-centered data whether it be qualitative, behavioral, natural language, or neural data.
I earned my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2022 from Carnegie Mellon University after which I completed a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship where I was the Principle Investigator of the ExCaLBBR Lab conducting computational social science research understanding the effect of identity (gender, race, age) and partisan news consumption on thoughts towards societal institutions (e.g., healthcare, police, voting).
I currently operate as a research consultant through Velocity Ave & my own LLC, SideQuest Consulting where I have worked with companies such as Google and Anaconda. I am also currently special faculty at Carnegie Mellow where I teach the PhD-level Data Science course for the Psychology department.
